The antimicrobial filter cartridge should be replaced every 10-12 months, depending on water quality and daily usage. The cartridge is washable, which extends its lifespan.
Yes, there are models with special filter cartridges designed to reduce salts (calcium and magnesium) and/or nitrates, suitable for areas with hard water. Warning: If your water does not have a real problem with increased hardness - i.e. you only notice limescale deposits after boiling or cooling, which is completely normal - choosing a filter with a strong salt reduction can affect the taste and natural balance of the water. Therefore, before purchasing any filter, we recommend that you request a recent chemical and microbiological analysis of your water from your water company. Based on the results of the analysis, we can recommend the appropriate filtration system that will fully cover the needs of your network.
