Description

Instructions for using mechanical softeners

Maximum flow rate: 900 l/h Minimum / maximum inlet water pressure: 1 ÷ 8 bar Minimum / maximum temperature: 4°C to 25°C POSITION 1: This is the operating position POSITION 2: Turn off the water supply to pour the salt into the tank. POSITION 3: Position for resin regeneration after we first poured the salt and it sat in the tank for 30-40 minutes POSITION 4: Salt wash for 1 minute Caution: For regeneration, use only coarse-grained sodium chloride NaCl (table salt). The use of any other substances or chemicals is strictly prohibited. The resin in the water softener is necessary for its correct operation. Do not remove it under any circumstances. CAUTION: during resin regeneration, the appliance connected to the softener is supplied with water, but it is not softened. To guarantee the effectiveness of the softener at all times, we recommend that you perform regeneration at regular intervals, depending on consumption. To disconnect the water softener, close the water inlet tap, press the ring and, at the same time, remove the hose from the quick connection. Insert the drain hose directly into the drain. When the resin is saturated with salts, follow the salt wash and regeneration procedure described below. A) Rinsing the resin -> POSITION 4 Close the water inlet tap and turn the valve knob counterclockwise to position 4 for backwashing. Open the water inlet tap and let the water run for 2-3 minutes until it runs clear. Turn the knob to position 1. B) Resin regeneration (Turn the knob in the sequence POSITION 1 -> POSITION 2 -> POSITION 3 -> POSITION 4 -> POSITION 1) POSITION 2 Turn the valve knob counterclockwise to position 2. Loosen the rotating element on the cover and wait for the water pressure to decrease. Remove the cover and add the required amount of salt, depending on the softener model. Replace the cover and tighten the rotating element firmly and forcefully. CAREFUL : Remove all salt residue from the sealing ring and the top of the softener. POSITION 3 Turn the valve knob counterclockwise to position 3. Let the salt water flow through the drain hose until the water becomes soft (approximately 40 minutes). POSITION 4 Turn the valve knob counterclockwise to position 4 (backwash) and wait approximately 30 seconds (during backwash, the softener does not deliver water). POSITION 1 Turn the knob counterclockwise to position 1, operating mode. C) Mixing valve (adjusting the final water hardness) When the regeneration valve knob is in position 1 (operating mode), it is possible to adjust the final water hardness. Using a small straight screwdriver and through the hole located on the left side of the regeneration valve (marked MIXER), turn the screw on the mixing valve to the left by one turn. This will increase the final water hardness.
