INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
WARNING : This water filter, as well as all Olympus water filters, are intended for connection to water supply networks controlled by municipal authorities and supplying water suitable for human consumption. Before installation and use, read these instructions carefully. Install the system correctly according to the instructions and keep this manual for future reference. REVERSE OSMOSIS

REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM (R/O) USER INSTRUCTIONS
1. Product features The R/OLYMPUS+ device passes water through 4 purification stages, and each of the 4 filters it has performs its role effectively, so as to retain harmful substances, microorganisms carried in the water, colloids, organic materials, heavy metals, particulate sludge sediments, nitrates, etc. Also, the third stage, the reverse osmosis membrane, is the main filter that transforms hard water into soft water by retaining calcium and magnesium salts, as well as salt from soft or brackish water, so that unsuitable water becomes normal drinking water. 2. Brief instructions for the water filtration module and its operation. Stage 1: Polypropylene cartridge (filter). The polypropylene cartridge retains sediment, colloids, rust and sludge deposits present in the water. Stage 2: Compact cartridge reinforced with activated carbon that retains: chlorine, pesticides, asbestos, heavy metals, chemical elements, while improving the taste and smell of water. Stage 3 : Reverse osmosis filter. The principle of the reverse osmosis cartridge is to remove microscopic contaminants, calcium and magnesium salts, nitrates, salt from soft water – brackish, colloids, heavy metals, stable soluble substances, microbes and other harmful elements from water. Stage 4: Activated carbon filter. This is the last filter that refreshes the water stored in the tank when we open the tap to use the stored water. 3. Important technical parameters Pure water flow rate: 150-180L/24 hours (50GPD) (25°C) and depending on the water pressure, the tank fills in approximately 3 to 5 hours. Suitable water source pressure: 3 – 7 BAR Allowable ambient temperature: 5-40°C 5. Installation The RO system must be installed according to the conditions in your kitchen (see image 1). The most correct installation of the device is in a cabinet under the kitchen counter (image 1). In special cases, it can also be installed above the kitchen counter or even on the wall. For the correct connection of the device to the water supply, see the diagram on page 3. Also, for the correct connection of the white plastic tube to the filter sockets and the tap, see diagram 4 on page 4.
HOW TO CONNECT THE PIPE TO THE FILTER SOCKET AND THE TAP To remove the colored plugs (blue, yellow, red and black): First remove the blue plug. Then, press inward on the white plastic ring on which the blue plug is placed and pull the plug out. To connect the tube, simply push it into the connector socket where the blue plug is located, then put the blue plug back in place. To disconnect the plastic tube, close the water supply tap and follow the same procedure as to remove the colored plugs. REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM (R/O) USER INSTRUCTIONS Installing the faucet The most correct position for the faucet is to install it on the kitchen sink. Installing the reverse osmosis membrane: After disconnecting the tube from the chamber cover, unscrew the plastic cover of the reverse osmosis chamber. Apply pharmaceutical Vaseline to the front of the reverse osmosis membrane, where the two rubber O-rings are located. Then, insert the cartridge into the reverse osmosis chamber and, after pressing it firmly to insert it well into the socket at the bottom of the chamber, screw the reverse osmosis chamber cover tightly. In case of replacing the R/O cartridge, after disconnecting the tube, unscrew the chamber cover and with a tool (pliers or pliers) firmly pull the back of the cartridge to remove it. Then, insert the new cartridge, after having previously applied pharmaceutical Vaseline to the front. 6. Use – Washing the filters When using the reverse osmosis (R/O) machine for the first time or when replacing the activated carbon or membrane filters, empty the water tank once or twice, as the first water is intended for washing the filters and not for use. After this filter cleaning procedure, the water produced by the machine and stored in the tank is suitable for any use. When the tank is full, the system will automatically stop operating. NOTE : Every 3-4 months or sooner if necessary, you can wash the membrane (6) for 5-10 minutes by opening the blue switch (13) located at the back of the appliance, on the drain pipe. VERY IMPORTANT: Reverse osmosis separates the problematic water from the clean water and sends approximately 80-85% to the sewer as unusable, while the clean water is stored in the water tank (9), which, depending on the network pressure, is filled with clean water within 3 to 5 hours, and the system stops until we use a certain amount of water, at which point it will automatically start working to refill the tank. 7. Maintenance Change the cartridges regularly, as instructed, to always have the best water quality. If the cartridges are changed regularly, reverse osmosis device users can enjoy clean water of the highest quality. The following instructions indicate the filter replacement periods and must be followed: Stage 1 filter (sediment pre-filter) 3 to 6 months. Stage 2 filter (compact activated carbon) 9 to 12 months. Stage 3 filter (reverse osmosis membrane) 12 to 18 months. Stage 4 filter (activated carbon) 9 to 12 months. The replacement period for each cartridge also depends on the degree of water pollution in each area with pollutants, salts, nitrates, etc., as well as the amount of clean water consumed. Therefore, if you follow the recommended filter replacement periods listed above, the R/O system can guarantee you good water quality and purity. REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM (R/O) USER INSTRUCTIONS 8. CAUTION 1. Due to the different mains pressures from one installation to another, the manufacturer recommends installing a pressure reducer and an anti-shock valve (available in plumbing stores) before the water filter, so that in the event of a rise in mains pressure or a momentary water hammer phenomenon, the pipes or the filter unit do not burst and cause flooding. When leaving home for several days, close the filter supply tap. 2. Please do not disassemble the machine components in the event of a leak or damage, as you may flood the machine with water. 3. The tank at its bottom has an air valve and you should never remove or increase the air pressure present in the tank, as the water pump will not work. 4. If the system is not used for a long period of time, you must close the R/O switch located immediately after connecting to the home water supply. The same applies when you are away from home for several days. 5. If the R/O unit is out of service for a long period of time, when it is used again, you must follow the operating instructions as for the first time use. 6. Careful handling is required during transportation and installation.
